Karl is a branding and marketing communications professional. An award-winning writer, he has developed and implemented communications programs for biotechnology, healthcare and life sciences companies. Karl worked on the media campaigns for the launches of Flumadine, Januvia, Lucentis and Taxotere. Karl has also developed names for Conde-Nast, Gambro BCT, Logitech, and Yahoo! among others. Karl received a BS and MS in biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside and an MFA in creative writing from The Naropa Institute. A native Spanish speaker, Karl lives in Brooklyn with his wife and three boys.
